What is the difference between Vermiculture and Vermicomposting ?

Vermiculture is the process  of culture  of the earthworms.tha main goal of vermiculture is continually increase the number of worms in other to obtain a sustainable harvest .the worms are either used to expand a vermicomposting operation of sold to customers who use them for the same or other purpose .
Vermicomposting is the process by which worms are used to convert organic materials(mainly waste) into a humus like material known as vermicompost. The goal is to process or decay the materials as quickly and efficiently as possible.
These two processes are similar but different .if our goal is to produce vermicompost,we will want to have maximum worm population density all the time .if we want to produce worms,we will keep the population density low enough that reproduce rates are optimized.
